Veteran culture expert Satya Mohan Joshi felicitated

Society of Fine Arts Journalist (SoFAJ) honored veteran culture expert Satya Mohan Joshi for his contribution in research and journalism on Saturday, in an event organized at Nepal Art Council, Baber Mahal. Likewise, three journalists disseminating news on fine arts in different media were also honored. This year ' SoFAJ Patrakarita Bishesh Samaan' was received by Joshi. Kantipur Daily's journalist Parbhat Portarl and Setopati.com's journalist Sabina Shrestha received 'Narayan Bahadur Singh Lalitkala Patrakarita Puraskar 2076'. Then, Radio Sagarmatha's journalist Ravi Manandhar received ' SoFAJ -Laxmimaya Kumale Smriti Patrakarita Puraskar’. Those who were felicitated and awarded received a cash prize of Rs 11,111 each.

The chief guest in the event, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Speaker of the Parliament of Nepal shared, "Nepal is a multicultural nation having ethnic diversity. And art has helped to bring all Nepali together."

President of SoFAJ Keshav Raj Khanal said that this was the fourth edition of the annual award and felicitation program. In the event, Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts KK Karmacharya, General Secretary of SoFAJ Devendra Thumkeli among others shared their opinion about the need of fine arts and to encourage those working in this field.
