Two killed in bus – ambulance collision

KAPILVASTU, Nov 19: Two persons were killed and five others seriously injured in a collision involving a bus and an ambulance at Buinchi area at around 3 am this morning. 

The deceased have been identified as Subba Rana, 55, and Madiya Rana, 60, of Baise Bijuwa of Kanchanpur, said Inspector, Bishnu Prasad Pokharel, of Area Police Office, Pipara. They were travelling in the ambulance. 

Ambulance driver Manoj Pokharel and the injured passengers have been rushed to Bhairahawa Medical College for treatment. The ambulance (Ma 1 Cha 396) was heading back to Kanchanpur with patients while the bus (Na 4 Kha 7996) - on an education tour of Dang - was heading towards Lumbini when the mishap occurred. RSS
