 I make sure that with each passing day u grow immense
And in return u bring me the boiling heat of the plains
So without ever leaving Kathmandu
I can now better experience Nepal, thanks to you.

You're bridging the gap, with the snow melting and the sea rising
Also now that the mountains are lower, it's easier for climbing
So yes you really are a magical being.

You can melt the ice, bloom flowers anytime you like
So I gift you the heavy smoke from my chimney and my bike
I never plant a tree, I never throw the waste in the bin
Cause you are a friend and hurting you is a sin.

So thank you for the heat, the glacial, to say the least
cause after all you are my dear friend and not a deadly beast
