Slave of Time


A lot has changed between now and then.
Unknowingly, a thin line of hair in my jaw
Has grown in a wild manner.
Never thought it would.

I was so wrong in assuming that people
would always remain the same.
Life is just like this; nothing remains
As it is

I wonder why I can’t stop my beard from growing.
I wonder why I can’t stop my age.
I wonder why I have no control over things.

I I wonder why people are so egoistic though they know

They are nothing but just a slave of time.
