Know MoreKATHMANDU, April 11: Six people were injured, one critically, during a footpath construction incident in Putha Uttarganga Rural Municipality-3, Ranma, in Rukum East.
The accident occurred around 3:30 PM on Wednesday when stones fell from a cliff and sparked a fire during the construction of a footpath from Ranma village to Chatra Bhir.
Madhav Prasad Sharma, the Chief District Officer of Rukum East, said that one of the injured is in a critical condition and is receiving treatment at Rukumkot Hospital. The condition of the other five people is stable and discussions are ongoing regarding transferring the critically injured patient for further treatment as per doctor’s advice.
The injured people have been identified as Dath Buda Magar, Ujjwal Buda Magar, Thapan Bahadur Buda Magar, Samjhi Buda Magar, Gora Buda Magar, and Putra Buda Magar.
