Purbanchal Singing Star season five is all set to begin with the slogan ‘In search of Youth Singers’ in the eastern region. The competition looks for raw talents and provides them with training as well as new opportunities.
The first audition for the show is slated to begin in mid-September at the Bagina Kala Kendra in Solukhumbu. Further auditions will be organized in Khotang, Udayapur, Sankhuwasabha, Bhojpur, Tehrathum, Dhankuta, Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Sindhuli and Ramechhap districts. One singer will be selected from each district through several rounds, while finalists will compete for the winner's title.
According to the organizers, the winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with a contract to record two songs, shoot one music video and one year of music course for free. Similarly, the first runner-up will receive Rs 25,000, a contract to record one song and six months of free music course. The second runner-up will get Rs 15,000 and six months of free music course.
Apart from the main titles, participants will also be feted with best vocal, best discipline, best performance and public choice awards will also be awarded.
