KATHMANDU
A three-day art exhibition 'Prayas' showcased paintings by eight artists at Nepal Art Council, Babermahal that began on November 10.
The paintings in the exhibition are created by artists—Deven Maharjan, Samyak Maharjan, Palak Rai, Hira Kunkha Khaman, Mijika Maharjan, Roisha Maharjan, Sambridha Shakya and Aman Bajracharya— who have been learning painting with artist Sachin Raj Bajracharya at The Precious Arts Class.
In the exhibition, these artists have depicted portraits and landscapes within the theme of culture, religion and tradition. A total of 49 paintings using various mediums such as acrylic, color pastel, pencil, charcoal, etc were showcased.
About the exhibition Sachin shared, "I picked these eight artists because of their talent. And they are in their struggling phase where few of them do day jobs and spend their spare time painting. Then, there are those whose parents do not support their creative endeavor. So, to encourage them and to support them I believe this exhibition will be a stepping stone in their career as artist."
The exhibition concluded on Tuesday.
