Tanahukot lies in 1,050 m from the height of the sea level. With the development of the road which leads to the easy access by transportation is proving to bring in good message to the people of Tanahukot. “Tanahukot is one of the place blessed by nature and can attract tourists. But due to the lack of transportation, it is not yet popular as it should have been. Now perhaps we can hope for golden days due to increase in promotional activities of the place. The beautiful scenario, culture and tradition coming to the light from being hidden feels like a dream come true,” Mohan Kumar Shrestha, the chairperson of the ward said.

The black topping of the road is in full swings. A budget of Rs 7, 00,000 allocated by the government for this purpose out of the Rs 1,00,000. About half of the work related to sewage maintenance is completed. About 80 percent of the road work has been completed.

One can get the taste of local food like Dhido, Gundruk, Mokai, etc and the scenario will give peace to the visitors. Tanahukot is being popular as vacation destination for tourists from US, Australia, Japan, India and various other countries.
