‘Pakastini Mahila Lekhan’ launched

Pakastini book translated to Nepali titled ‘Pakastini Mahila Lekhan’ was jointly launched by Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal Pradip Gyawali, Chancellor of Nepal Academy Ganga Prasad Upreti, Vice Chancellor of Nepal Academy Jugman Gurung and Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Dr Mazhar Javed. Speaking at the event Minister Gyawali said, “Pakastan is famous for literature, songs and poems. Language, literature and art have created harmony between the people of Pakistan and Nepal. 

Chancellor of the Academy, Upreti stated that the book is translated under the appeal of Pakistan Academy of Letters. Upreti travelled to Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan Academy of Letters. Nepal Academy and Pakistan Academy of Letters agreed for cultural exchange a year back. Speaking at the launch program, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Javed said that culture and literature plays a creative role to enhance the relation between Pakistan and Nepal.

Prof Dr Yogendra Prasad Yadav and member of translation desk, Harihar Khanal lauded the specialty and importance of the book. The book was translated from English to Nepali and was edited by Dr Hemnath Poudel.
