Nitu Dangol bags 14th ‘Miss Newa: 1139’

Nita Dangol won the title of 14 th edition of ‘NTC Miss Newa: 1139’ on Saturday. Organized by Nepalese Fashion Home, Dangol bagged the title by defeating 17 contestants at the finale held in Kathmandu.

‘Miss Newa: 1138’, Riju Manandhar handed over the crown to Dangol. With the title, Dangol also received a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and several gift hampers.

Likewise, Sanjita Maharjan and Skena Koju become First Runner-up and Second Runner-up respectively.

A panel of judge including banker Bhairaja Tuladhar, singer Prabeshman Shakya, president of Beauty Association Ujwalkrishna Shrestha, journalist Bijayaratna Tuladhar, and artist Manju Karki Pandey evaluated the contestants.

According to president of Nepalese Fashion Home, Hema Manandhar, the main objective of the pageant is to promote and preserve Newa culture and its history.
