Nepali movie 'Hori' selected at Torino Film Lab

KATHMANDU

Nepali film 'Hori' has been included in the world's prestigious film development lab Torino Film Lab. The film has been selected in the Torino Lab, which was started this year after the Torino Film Lab announced that it would operate an online lab, as it was unable to operate the lab physically during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Hori, directed and scripted by Arundev Joshi, is based on the story of the Maoist conflict. The film will be shot mainly in Doteli language and will be shot in Darchula in the far west.

The movie 'Hori' produced by Saroj Sharma Sapkota will be mainly in Doteli language. The name of the movie 'Hori' is taken from the Doteli language. The Holi festival is called 'Hori' in the Doteli language.

Hori has already participated in the European Film Development Lab Lim as per a press statement released by Sapkota.

The lab, which will be operational from September 14 this month, has selected 12 film projects from around the world. Among them, an Indian film from South Asia and Nepal's 'Hori' have been selected.
