The third Global Film Award 2018 felicitated several talents of Nepali film industry amid a program hosted at the Thornton HS Auditorium in Colorado on Sunday. Nepali Film Society and Nepali Award LLC jointly organized the award function.
At the ceremony, veteran actor Ramesh Budhathoki was presented the award of ‘Best Actor of The Year’ (male) for his film ‘Bhuimanche’.
Actor Budhathoki told My City that he was overjoyed after receiving the award. “I am extremely happy to get the honor in an international platform. This award has given me more responsibility to serve quality works to audience in forthcoming days,” said Budathoki.
“Doing the movie was quite challenging and I worked harder to justify the character. I usually give my best to every film and character that I do however, I put my extra effort for the film,” he added.
Earlier, Budhathoki won ‘Jury Special Mention Award’ from ‘Bhuimanche’ in Lux Kamana Film Award in 2018. The film deals with the psychological state of a person who handles dead bodies on a daily basis while he is seen essaying the role of pathologist who performs post-mortem examination.
Likewise, Neeta Dhungana won ‘Best Actor of The Year’ (female) award for the movie ‘Panchayat’ with ‘Chhakka Panja 3’ awarded ‘Best Film of Year.’
