The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Sunday sent separate messages of condolence to Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Indian Prime Minister Naresdra Modi respectively on the loss of lives of a large number of people when the Patna-Indore Express train derailed near Kanpur in India early this morning.
In their massages, the President and the Prime Minister have expressed heartfelt condolences and sympathies to their Indian counterparts and through them to the bereaved families. They have also wished early recovery of those injured in the accident
