Movie review: Intu Mintu London Ma

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: Directed and written by Renasha Bantawa Rai, ‘Intu Mintu London Ma’ is a romantic love saga packed with cheesy dialogues and melodrama. The film is a story of Ishan or Intu (Dhiraj Magar) and Meera or Mintu (Samragyee RL Shah).

Ishan is raised and brought up in London. Likewise, Meera belongs to a well-off family whose father is the Nepali ambassador to the UK. Ishan and Meera meet in London and fall in love. The contribution of the remaining cast members --  Sameera (Sunisha Bajgain), Newson (Bibek Limbu), and Keshav Sharma (Dil Bhusan Pathak) – is commendable.

The first half of the film doesn’t bear a heavy storyline. It is more focused on the love chemistry between Meera and Ishan. The story takes a U-turn post interval -- after Aakash Singh Malla (Saruk Tamrakar) is introduced.

The picture quality, venue selection, and the set and wardrobe designs are comparatively superior to the current mainstream Nepali movies.  But lags in the story department.
