Almost 200 men marched on ‘Men’s March’ on the special occasion of International Women’s Day on Friday.
The march started from Jawalakhel Chowk and ended at Patan Durbar Square, leaving Pulchowk as the marching way.
Yuwalaya organized this march with the help from various organizations. Yuwalaya has been organizing the ‘Men’s March” for over six years.
Fighting against violence on women and girls was the main agenda of the march. The walk also carried a slogan saying, “Men can stop violence: Engage men and boys to build an equitable society.”
The march ended with an address from Madhav Pradhan, national coordinator of Men Engage Alliance Nepal saying, “The country will prosper and there won’t be any violence on women if people learn to respect girls and women from their home.”
