Lesser known but full of fun this winter in Sailung

With the overflowing news on snowfall at different hill stations nearby Kathmandu, fun enthusiasts packed their bag and headed toward the nearest destination. Most of them opted for destinations like Phulchowki and Chandragiri to play snow. However, due to jam-packed and muddy road, the dream of numerous people to touch the soft snowflake was unfulfilled. Phulchowki was the prime example where people had to struggle to reach the destination and their struggle in their motorbikes captured in photos and videos went viral on social media. On other hand, people who made a trip to experience snowfall in Kalinchowk had a hard time finding a room to stay due to high influx of tourist this week.

If you are looking for hassle free yet a fun trip to play with snow, then Sailung is the perfect destination for everyone. Sailung is situated at the height of 3150m above sea level and is nestled in southwest from Charikot. Sailung is approximately 173 km from Kathmandu and 25 km off-road from Mude. If you are going there from Ratnapark, then gets bus of Bhaise leading to Baghkor. You can reach Sailung after renting a jeep from Baghkhor also if you are a hike enthusiast then you can do a short hike using the trail from Baghkhor.

You must be careful while driving or walking as the road here is muddy and slippery. But the pain and the thrill are worthwhile. As you reach Sailung, you can experience breathtaking view of nature covered in the white blanket and rejuvenate yourself and make memories for life.
