Landmark Education concludes public speaking workshop

KATHMANDU, Feb 14: A public speaking workshop, a fully funded two days residential workshop conducted by Landmark Education and designed by GlocalPvt Ltd, concluded on February 10 at Park Village, Budanilkantha. As many as 12 students from high school and bachelor’slevel were selected for the fully funded workshop,according to the press statement released by Landmark Education. 

Joy Chaudhary, an influential and experienced trainer for public speaking, leadership and emotional intelligence,had joined the two days' workshop as the moderator and trainer. He shared his relevant experiences, skills and techniques with the participants on expressing themselves in mass.

Set at various time sessions, the first day of the event focused on the concise description of elements, poise and requirements to stand out as a good speaker. Chaudhary shared his insights on the skills to attain the position of a good speaker and techniques to communicate with confidence through body language and flow of speech. The workshop conversed on the ‘TEN Commandments’, cone of experience, stimulation of both brains and seating patterns. 

The second day of the event focused on a different approach. Chaudhary moved on to a brief explanation about presenting the key ideas to present speeches and presentations. He further voiced on informative speeches and how to present the outlining and delivery of such speech. Furthermore, talking about the aids and academic presentation he mentioned that supporting ideas and organizing arguments as a key to academic presentations.  The workshopindicated that in case of persuasive speeches the deliverance should be all about understanding persuasive devices first. 

The participants voiced their queries on dealing with emotions at the near end of the workshop and commenced a startup practice. At the end of this workshop, Kumar Karki, managing director of Landmark Education,presented the participants with certificates. Among the 12 participants, RitikaKharel bagged the award of 'Most Influencing Participant' with Rs 5,000.
