After winning Andrew E. Rice Award, Kanchan Amatya has bagged yet another prestigious international award— Diana Award —for social action and humanitarian work on Tuesday. 

According to a press statement released by Amatya, on the occasion of the late Princess Diana’s 58th birthday, she received the award. Meanwhile, Amatya was also presented with an invitation to Althorp House, Princess Diana’s childhood home.

The press statement quoted, Kanchan saying, “I have committed myself to work toward inspiring and mobilizing youngsters to serve their community and create a world where nobody is uneducated or be hungry, even for a single day.”

 This year ‘The Diana Award’ celebrated its 20th anniversary year. The award is given to people who have honored Diana’s legacy of "through her belief in the power of young people."
