Husband and cousin to be tried on murder case

ROLPA, Nov 15: The police are preparing to file a murder case against two arrested in connection to the murder of Sun Kumari Nepali of Thabang in Rolpa. 

The authorities are preparing to file murder case against Sun Kumari's husband, Druba Nepali, and cousin, Jaal Kumari Nepali – the daughter of her mother's sister, said Inspector Rajeev Shrestha of Area Police Office, Gharti Gaun. Both were arrested in accusation of murdering Nepali on October 12. 

District attorney Subarna Man Banepali said Jhaal Kumari had confessed during interrogation and a hearing at the District Court, Rolpa of killing Sun Kumari by bludgeoning her with a stone grinder in the head. 

After completion of a feast at around 12 midnight on the day of Bijaya Dashami on October 11, Sun Kumari and Jhaal Kumari had gotten into a minor dispute. The dispute quickly turned into a brawl when her husband and Jhaal Kumari manhandled Sun Kumari and banged her head repeatedly on a nearby stone spice grinder, it was revealed during police investigation.
