Gift of New Year
Pretty lights hang by the wall illuminating entirety
Snowfalls in crystals, pine trees standing sturdy
Been through joy and gloom itself came along
Giggled and sobbed this year
Fell in love broken hearted, let go of loved ones
Scorched anguish with every spark aloof
From firework
Troubled memories, left behind
Inscribed and described the tales
Of battles with and within
In the finale
We carry ourselves in
Peace and satisfaction
Packed in with forgiveness
For a long odyssey is due
Braced for imminent years.
