With an aim to give a platform for men and to polish their skills, ‘Mr Himalayan 2019’—a beauty pageant for men is all set to kick off.

According to a press statement released on Wednesday by Fashion City, also the organizer, has called for the application of the contestants. The first audition will be held in the second week of Jestha. The participants who are selected from the first round will receive the training such as swimming, football, rock climbing, short hiking, personal development, public speaking and more.

The press release further stated that the appropriate age for the participation is 18 years old to 32 years old.  According to Ruth Maskey—CEO of Fashion City, the main objective of the contest is to give exposure to men. “Beauty contest for men are held in lesser number in comparison to women’s beauty contest. So, we’re hosting ‘Mr Himalayan’ for the men,” the press statement quoted Maskey.

The finale is scheduled on July 13 at Hotel Annapurna. The title-holder will get a chance to be featured in film, music video and will get various gift hampers as well.
