Daayitwa fellows to collaborate with the public governance system
KATHMANDU, June 10: Daayitwa is preparing for the 8th Nepal Public Service Fellowship Program. The fellowship program aims at inspiring youths to enhance positive conversation and action in Nepal’s public governance system.
As per the press statement issued by Daayitwa, the fellows will be working on key policy issues identified by the Daayitwa Research Team – access to investment, women’s economic empowerment, enterprise value chain, youth employment and governance, and bureaucracy reform. One of the primary aims of the program is to promote evidence-based policy to ensure policy reforms are backed by proper research findings. Participating fellows will be working closely with public agencies and elected representatives at the federal, provincial and local level to research on pressing policy issues.
The fellowship program also includes a leadership development and capacity enhancement course designed at Harvard Center for Public Leadership. Buddha Air and Himalayan Bank Limited are supporting the fellowship program.
