Chasing the Rain

Chasing the Rain

Spreading out obsolete fingers

The madman suffers from an artificial choke

Untying the decaying images

Hurling ‘em into the eternal pool

I drank the rain, rain, rain

Puking river-like

The waste of a mankind

Or species yearning for meager existence

The local liquor hammered the drunken mind

Spitting obscure words –

Aaarerr aaarerrr

That I wouldn’t even understand half the words of French

Je n’comprendre pas

Oui, c’est d’accord.

Halfway through the exit line

I cursed the rain

And melted with it.
