Celebrating International Yoga Day

Yoga is considered as a way to freedom because a constant practice of yoga gives courage to our soul to fight against several physical and mental problems like fear, anguish and loneliness. To celebrate this amazing way to gain mental peace, every year June 21 is celebrated as International Yoga Day. The day is marked all across the globe by organizing several seminars, events and yoga sessions. Not just individuals, several organizations and governmental authorities also show their concerns to preserving and promoting yoga.

The first International Day of Yoga was observed around the world on 21 June 2015. Since then, June 21 is celebrated as International Yoga Day. The word ‘yoga’ is derived from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.

The benefits of yoga are diverse and cover several pros. Some of them are listed below:

Improves flexibility, muscle strength

Enhances respiration, stamina, metabolism

Balance Weight, blood circulation

Gives mental peace
