BizFest 2019 empowers startups

Powered by Khalti app, GBG Kathmandu and WomenWill collaboratively organized an event titled ‘BizFest 2019’ at the premises of Galaxy Public School, Gyaneshwor on Saturday. The event was organized with an aim to create opportunities to learn about new business strategies and to help people grow their business in 2019.

Over 100 startups exhibited their products and explained working strategies of their brands. Companies developing apps and websites and local products participated in the event. Brands that have been in the market for more than five years also participated in the event.  Himalayan Rabbit Farm and Honeyhunt Concern Nepal were some such participants.

Ayush Ghimire, one of the attendees, is studying IT at Softwarica College. He visited the event to learn about startup and businesses growth in the country. “As a young student, events like these must be held from time to time. It’s a good way of learning,” Ghimire added.

Arsalan Akhter, founder of ‘Today’s Telegram’ was also present in the event. When asked about his reasons to participate in exhibitions like BizFest2019, he cited visibility of such events as the major reason. He explained, “Basically, when we get engaged in events like these, people will know more about the brands.  Knowing a brand’s strategy and working principles is useful for the visitors. We also get live feedbacks from the people, which can be seriously considered for the future. |Participating in business exhibitions like BizFest2019 helps us in the branding of our products.”
