The horror film 'Kathaputali’ is all set to be released on December 31. Directed by Veemsen Lama and written by Sampada Malla, the movie features actors Gauri Malla, Mithila Sharma, Karma, Shilpa Maskey, Usha Rajak, Suvarna Thapa, among others.

According to a press statement released by the production team, it has already won two awards --'Best Horror Feature Film' and 'Indie Picks'-- in ‘Winter Film Awards', an American International Film Festival. Produced by Prithvi Rana Magar, the film has executive producer Sampada Malla, co-producers Bishal Gurung, Dharma Shrestha, and Hem Thapa. The entire post-production work of the film took place in a London studio.

Director Lama has claimed that ' Kathaputali ' made under the banner of Prithvi Rana Productions is very different from other horror films made in Nepal. He describes this film as his dream project. The film's cinematographer Joel Froome has also won the 'Best Cinematographer Award 2021' under the feature film award given by the Australian Cinematographers Society.
