KATHMANDU
Singer Ankit Shrestha’s new single ‘River’ has been released on his official YouTube channel on December 18. The song is written and composed by Ankit and is produced by Diwas Gurung. The music video is directed by Gaurav Tamang.
It features child actors Bubi Lama and Bishes Prajapati. The song is about seeing vivid imagery of the person you love when going through a tough time and finding comfort in remembering the person. It revolves around the idea of a person feeling like home.
About the video, Gaurav Tamang, its director shared, “During the shoot of “River”, Sudin (our producer) and I became very excited when we realized that the video we were making was basically a re-imagining of Peter Pan in today’s Kathmandu—with our lead actors Bubi and Bishesh fulfilling the roles of Wendy and Peter respectively. The original story of Peter Pan revolves around the themes of family and childhood, but we saw that it was also about finding a home aka a place to belong—an interpretation we’ve carried over to this video.”
