When I was a boy I had no voice
Inarticulate and shy had no poise
In the head one day came a distant noise
I found myself that day - a unique voice

As my story unfolds
My heart is now searing
That my fingers are tearing
It’s time to go
No- the world is too endearing

You have grown old
Oh- that- I have been fearing
Clearing the clutters of pain- I find gold
What use can that be of me?
As I sit back and repent
I’m hit by the truth

Words were my only friend
From as early as youth
I ponder, ponder- I attempt to refute
Gently touching my head
Caressing my bro looks at me

And then suddenly he frowns
Your work is incomplete
I’ll grant you some time
Scribbling in a sheet
Until you sink in the shrine

poets, story,
