A look back at friendship of older times
Kunti Moktan recalls days without social media sites and mobiles. She says postal service was the only option. The veteran singer wrote letters to stay in touch with her friends. “Making plans with friends wasn’t easy during my teenage days. It would take 15 days to one month to make a plan. But eventually, we would end up having loads of fun. We used to go out on picnics and cinemas. The memory of watching ‘Kunwara Baap’ with my friends is still fresh in my mind.” Moktan further added.
Likewise, Deepak Raj Giri says he used to catch up with his male friends directly. However, he found joy in writing letters to his female friends. “With close friends, meeting was more convenient. Delivering letters and receiving replies would take days. We often made plans for Manakamana and Pokhara.” Giri added.
