Five tips to study well

Are you having a difficult time studying because you procrastinate? Or, do you just need to get better grades and are finding ways to help yourself throughout the year? Here are some good habits you can try getting into, which are highly effective for studying well. 

Space out, create a schedule 

Spacing out your studies is far better than cramming during the last minute. Even if your exams aren't close by, create a schedule to revise a certain topic once in a while. That way, you can still remind yourself of what you studied, and are less stressed during your exam season.  

Mind Maps 

Mindmaps helps you to make connections, and space out your topics with key concepts all on one page. It also helps with creating memories and recalling your information, keeping it concise. 

Flashcards

Flashcards help with actively recalling, and testing yourself is a great method to learn and remember information. It helps you focus on the most important information, and forces your brain to think and create a memory of the information for longer. 

Pomodoro technique 

The Pomodoro technique is an effective studying habit perhaps you should start getting into. This is especially effective for people that procrastinate, as it forces you to work and keep your mind on something for a short period of time before taking a break. 

Focus on the key concepts, and make connections

When a lot of us are revising, we tend to focus on irrelevant information. So, when the teacher is talking through the course it's best to make post-it notes and write the most important things in brief.
