Bartika Eam Rai is an emerging Nepali singer, songwriter and a poet. Entering the music realm via her album ‘Bimbaakash’ on March 2016, Rai has garnered appreciation from the audience since then. ‘Najeek’ and ‘Khai’ are some of her hit tracks from the first album. Lately, she released her second album entitled ‘Taral’. The album also did well, like the first album. In conversation with Radio Nagarik 96.5, Rai answered five interesting question. Q1 You have sung ‘Najeek Naaunu’. So is there anyone in real?

I don’t know if there is anyone or not, but, I’m happy.

Q2 What is the funniest rumor you’ve heard about yourself?

People think I’m extremely serious. I’ve heard people tell that I am as serious as my songs are. I don’t think anybody can live that way. I’m not a serious person actually.

Q3 Craziest fan moment?

Somebody gave me a love letter. It’s quite lengthy, extending to several pages—very thick. However, I haven’t had enough time to read it so far. I will read it though. I will not tear it.

Q4: Keyboard or guitar, choose one?

Both have same notes. I can’t just choose one. Choosing the right instrument depends on the song.

Q5:  One party song that you can dance to on repeat mode?

I can dance to any song. I’m a very fun dancer.
