Understanding Stock Market

In fact, two of the basic concepts of stock market trading are “bull” and “bear” markets. On the one hand, the term bull market is used to refer to a stock market in which the price of stocks is generally rising. Quite interestingly, there is no specific and universal metric used to identify a bull market. Nonetheless, perhaps the most common definition of a bull market is a situation in which stock prices rise by 20% or more from recent lows. On the other hand, a bear market exists when stock prices are overall declining in price. A bear market occurs when a market experiences prolonged price declines. It typically describes a condition in which securities prices fall 20% or more from recent highs.

Similarly, at the same time, when I compare new technologies with old ones, I get really amazed by the world simply because it is changing so fast in terms of cryptocurrency, bitcoin, blockchain, fintech, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data management, and now metaverse. So, my plain question is what will the world of money look like in five-or ten years’ time now? Notably, this quest comes to my mind quite frequently. And, of course, despite having so many innovations in digital payment systems, no one can predict exactly what the world’s digital currency will look like.

In spite of many protests, the ill practices for this moment still remain in the country, more extreme than in the West. Better known in Nepal as, ‘Chhaupadi’ (menstrual shed), this menstrual taboo has caused women and girls to be exposed to health risks, and disengage from family activities, and daily routines. If you may not be aware of the term ‘Chhaupadi’, it originated from the western parts of the country, sprouting through superstitions and myths. People from some Far-West districts believe that menstruation causes women to be impure temporarily.

To be honest, let me tell you that the idea of managing your own investments can feel daunting, but no matter how much money you’ve, there is a level of portfolio management right for you. Simply put, however, it can be either passive or active in nature. Most tellingly, on the one hand, passive management is a set-it-and-forget-it long-term strategy that often involves simply tracking a broad market index — commonly referred to as indexing or index investing. On the other hand, active management instead involves a single manager, co-managers or a team of managers who attempt to beat the market return by actively managing a fund’s portfolio through investment decisions based on research, and decisions on individual holdings. Apart from this, the business strategy underpins successful project portfolio management. Here is what I’d like to say: strategy refers to the long-term direction as well as scope of an organization, working towards the goals of growth in the competitive landscape.
