KATHMANDU, May 18: Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the foreign exchange rates for Saturday. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar stands at Rs 136.52, while the selling rate is Rs 137.12.
The euro is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 152.92 and a selling rate of Rs 153.59. Likewise, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 181.50 and sold at Rs 182.30. The buying rate for one Swiss franc has been fixed at Rs 163.11, and the selling rate at Rs 163.82.
The exchange rates for other major currencies also vary slightly. One Australian dollar is being bought at Rs 87.60 and sold at Rs 87.99, while one Canadian dollar is trading at Rs 97.77 for buying and Rs 98.20 for selling.

Similarly, the Singapore dollar is being exchanged at Rs 105.12 for buying and Rs 105.59 for selling. The rate for 10 Japanese yen is set at Rs 9.38 (buying) and Rs 9.42 (selling). One Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 18.95 and sold at Rs 19.03. The Saudi riyal stands at Rs 36.40 for buying and Rs 36.56 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is fixed at Rs 37.46 and Rs 37.62, respectively.
As per the central bank, the Thai baht is being exchanged at Rs 4.10 for buying and Rs 4.12 for selling. The UAE dirham is being traded at Rs 37.17 (buying) and Rs 37.33 (selling), and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 31.78 (buying) and Rs 31.92 (selling). The rate for 100 South Korean Won is Rs 9.78 for buying and Rs 9.82 for selling. The Swedish krona is being exchanged at Rs 13.99 and Rs 14.05, and the Danish krone at Rs 20.50 and Rs 20.59, respectively.
Meanwhile, the Hong Kong dollar is trading at Rs 17.47 (buying) and Rs 17.55 (selling). The Kuwaiti dinar has the highest rate of the day, with a buying price of Rs 444.17 and a selling price of Rs 446.12. The Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 362.15 for buying and Rs 363.74 for selling, and the Omani riyal at Rs 354.62 and Rs 356.18, respectively.
The central bank has fixed the exchange rate for INR 100 at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. Nepal Rastra Bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time if needed. It also mentioned that commercial banks may offer different rates, and the most up-to-date figures can be found on the bank's official website.
