Unemployed youths brave scorching sun for Korean jobs

KATHMANDU, June 15: Thousands of unemployed youths have been queuing under the blazing sun on Tuesday in front of Dasharath Stadium to buy forms for Korean Language Test (KLT) exam to qualify for jobs in South Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS).



Tribhuwan University is undertaking the examination process in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Transport Management (MoLTM) and Human Resource Department (HRD) of Korea.[break]



KLT exam is scheduled to be held on 28th August 2010.



Officials said over 50,000 job seekers are expected to appear in the exam. Examination forms will be distributed for four days till Friday. Korean government has allocated 4000 quotas for Nepalis for the year 2010.



Over 32,000 had appeared in the first KLT exam in Nepal in 2008.
