The UDMF has been alleging the government of not being serious toward political dialogue and is hoping that the upcoming meeting with the government talks team on Sunday to be decisive."We want the next meeting to be decisive. As we have already ruled out their proposal of forming a commission to finalize provincial delineation and asked them to come up with a political solution. We hope the government team will come up fully prepared," said Sadbhavana Party Co-chairman Laxman Lal Karna.
"Though the government team did not clearly mention it, we sensed that they did not get time to prepare for the talks because they had to get busy for the election of president and vice-president," he added.
Karna said that they have urged the government talks team to take time to discuss the issue with their respective leaders and party authorities but come up with concrete proposal to settle the issue of provincial delineation in the next meeting.
"The talks and protest programs will go together. The meeting in Janakpur will obviously come up with new protest programs," said Sadbhavana General Secretary Manish Suman.
The UDMF has been demanding delineation of the entire Tarai and Madhes regions in two provinces only.
