Two dead in Parsa road mishap

Two people died and one was seriously injured in a vehicle accident at Sitaram Chowk on the Dryport road section of Birgunj Metropolitan City-22, Parsa.

BIRGUNJ, June 13: Two people died and one was seriously injured in a vehicle accident at Sitaram Chowk on the Dryport road section of Birgunj Metropolitan City-22, Parsa.


According to the police, the accident occurred around 5 am today when an Indian truck with the registration HR 55 K 3971, which was broken down and parked, was hit by a motorcycle with the Bagmati Pra 03-004 P 8612 heading towards Sirsia Dryport.

Among the three young men seriously injured in the motorcycle accident, two died during treatment early this morning, said Parsa Police.


The deceased have been identified as Ramakant Yadav and Bijay Yadav, both residents of Jhalmaiya Tole, Chipharmai Rural Municipality-3, Parsa. The seriously injured 22-year-old Bijay Kumar Yadav is also from the same area, according to the police.


He suffered severe injuries to his head and various parts of his body, and his condition is currently critical. Both vehicles remained at the accident site, but the truck driver fled the scene, and the police are continuing the search for him.


The police have stated that further investigation into the incident is underway.
