KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Police arrested three individuals in possession of 29 kilograms of marijuana in Morang on Friday.
According to the District Police Office, Morang, the arrested individuals have been identified as Mohan Rai of Sagurigadhi Rural Municipality-7 in Dhankuta, Bishal Kumar Paswan of Duhabi Municipality-6 in Sunsari, and an Indian national Munna Kumar Paswan.

According to the DPO, police personnel on duty at Budhiganga Rural Municipality-7 found the contraband after checking two motorbikes that they found to be suspicious. Rai was riding one of the bikes (Province 1-02-043 Pa 5385) while the Paswan duo were riding the bike with registration number Province 1-02-42 Pa 2736.
Police have taken the trio into custody along with Rs 73,560 in cash while also impounding the two motorbikes.
