Krishna Karki took two wickets for Nepal ´Blue´. Chasing the small total, Nepal ´Blue´ lost nine wickets but met the target in 19 overs. Paras Khadka scored 25 runs off 27 balls while Binod Bhandari hit 20 runs off 22 balls.
Basanta Regmi and Sanjam Regmi took two wickets each for Nepal ´Red´. ICC World T20 Qualifiers are scheduled to be held in the UAE in March.
Lord Buddha starts with win
KATHMANDU: Lord Buddha College emerged victorious on Tuesday during the inaugural football match of Weekly Rumpum HISSAN Sports Meet 2068 that kicked off in Biratnagar, Morang. Lord Buddha saw off Birat Campus 1-0 with a lone goal from Hiramani Gautam in the first half.
Gautam was declared man of the match. In the boy´s road race held on Tuesday, France Majhi of Siddhartha Higher Secondary School, Manish Adhikari of Merryland College and Bivek BK of Siddhartha secured first to third spots respectively.
The sports meet with expected participation of more than 1,000 players was inaugurated by Bhimraj Rajbansi, minister of state for home affairs.
