Mixed results for Galaxy
KATHMANDU: Galaxy Public School achieved mixed results on Wednesday in the Daffodil Cup Inter-school Football and Basketball Tournament being held in the capital. Galaxy was held to 2-2 draw in junior boy´s football and beat Baba Boarding School 23-20 in senior girl´s basketball. In football, Prakash Bohara netted both the goal for Galaxy while Roshan Shrestha and Lepchan Gurung were on target for White Field. Rasana Karki contributed highest 13 points for Galaxy´s win over Baba in senior girl´s basketball. In junior boy´s another match, Kathmandu Valley defeated the Chandbagh 2-1.
Om Khadka netted both goals for Kathmandu. In girl´s basketball, Mount Kailash saw off Skylark 17-10. Sabina Magar netted highest seven points for winning team. In boy´s basketball, host daffodil A beat Gyan Mala 58-35 and Daffodil B lost 30-15 to The Excelsior. Chonde Lama netted 15 points for host win over Gyan Mala while Vicky Gurung contributed 15 points for The Excelsior to inflict defeat over B team of host. Meanwhile, Sujan Rai contributed the highest 10 points for NIMS as it beat Xavier´s International School 42-34.
