MELAMCHI, Sindhupalchok, Aug 3: An elderly man was killed when a fire broke out in a cowshed at Kalimati of Sangachowkgadhi Municipality-8 in Sindhupalchok on Thursday night.

The deceased has been identified as local resident Indra Bahadur Sunar, 70. Sunar, a daily wager, who was living in the cowshed, was found dead in his bed the following morning. He died of burn injuries, said the police.
