As there are serious flaws in the verdict of the Special Court passed on November 15, 2006, the verdict may change, the court said in its order.
The Special Court had given clean chit to Khadka, who became minister on various occasions, despite the fact that the court had found Khadka had earned Rs 1.258970 million from unknown sources, said the Supreme Court in its two-page order.
The court order comes close on the heels of the Supreme Court verdict convicting former minister and Nepali Congress leader Chiranjivi Wagle.
Khadka faces the charge of amassing property worth Rs 23.6 million from illegal source of income when he was minister and lawmaker for a decade in the 1990s.
