The three-day event is being organized by Synthesis Exhibition and Events. Companies from as far as India and Bangladesh are participating in the event.The event has altogether 70 stalls including stalls from Bangladesh (15) and India (10).
According to the organizers, the event provides a platform to participating companies to promote their products and visitors to get knowledge on prefab houses and other earthquake resistant materials.
Products like prefab materials, cement, and paints, among others have been exhibited at the expo.
Krishna Bhakta Duwal, CEO of Gorkha Eco Panels -- the title sponsor of the event -- said the major concern of Nepali people after the earthquake of April 25 is on construction of safe buildings. "The event caters knowledge to visitors on measures and knowledge for building earthquake-resistant houses," said Duwal.
Similarly, Mashfee Binte Shams, Ambassador of the People´s Republic of Bangladesh to Nepal, said the event would add technological dimension on the construction industry of Nepal. She also said that the participation of Bangladeshi companies in the expo reflects strengthening bilateral trade relationship between Nepal and Bangladesh.
21st Flora Expo kicks off in Kathmandu
