According to Area Police Office, Chandranigapur, the injured are undergoing treatment at Chandranigapur-based hospital. Critically injured Nirmal Kesari of Gaur municipality has been sent to Birgunj for further treatment.[break]
The incident occurred when a speeding Birgunj-bound public transport bus (Na 4 Kha 2996) lost its control and overturned near Chandranigapur bazaar.
According to police, more than seven motorbikes were also damaged in the incident which were parked at the time of accident in the site.
The driver of the bus has managed to escape after the incident.
