KATHMANDU, April 6: A multiparty delegation from Doti called upon Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to set aside a budget for the operationalization of Khaptad Engineering Campus in the district.
The delegation comprised members of the intellectual community of the district, including the Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) representatives. The delegation met the Prime Minister at his official residence, Baluwatar, and urged the government to pay attention to the construction of necessary physical infrastructure of the Campus for smooth operation of its academic courses.

Former minister Bir Bahadur Balayar; Constituent Assembly members Gauri Oli and Bharat Bahadur Khadka; Sudurpaschim Province Assembly member Chakra Malla; District Coordination Committee Chief Laxman Bahadur Singh; Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality Mayor Baji Singh Khadka; KI Singh Rural Municipality Chair Lokendra Bahadur Shahi; Nepali Congress District President Narendra Bahadur Singh; and CPN (UML) District chair Manju Malasi were among those present at the Prime Minister's residence.
The delegation asked support from higher political levels saying the campus is failing to manage required funds to run the courses.
While responding to the delegation, Prime Minister Oli committed to manage the budget for the campus adding that he was aware of Doti's developmental situation. The Prime Minister further shared that the upcoming budget would be balanced and well-managed properly understanding the geographical disparity in the country. He said building a college hostel would benefit students coming from the remote areas.
The programme was attended by UML senior vice chair Ishwar Pokharel, Home Minister Ramresh Lekhak and other central leaders as well.
