KOHALPUR, October 27: Black marketing in petroleum products is rife here in Banke district following the unofficial blockade imposed by India over Nepal.
After the supply of the petroleum products were obstructed at different border points for a long time, Petrol is being sold on the black market in various areas of the district.
Marketing is heart of any business
Local petrol pumps as well as people who brought petroleum products illegally from markets of India are being involved in the black marketing.
Petroleum products are being sold on as high as Rs 200 per liter in bazaar areas while its costs Rs 170 in the areas close to Nepal-India border. Local motorcycle workshops, recondition centers and grocery stores are selling the fuel for two times more than the actual price.
A liter of petrol costs Rs 104 in Nepal while Rs 111 in Indian market.
