KATHMANDU, Feb 14: Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Syed Haider Shah on Monday called on former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is also Chairman of ruling CPN (Unified Socialist), at the latter's residence in Kathmandu.
According to the Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu, the meeting was a courtesy call in continuation with the outreach effort towards political leadership in the context of strengthening Pakistan-Nepal bilateral relation. Ambassador complimented Nepal for his laudable contribution in progression of bilateral ties in various capacities including as Prime Minister.

Ambassador Syed shared his hope that Chairman Nepal would continue to contribute his part in cementing the strong ties between the two countries, according to a statement issued by the Embassy.
On the occasion, Chairman Nepal thanked the Ambassador and expressed his desire for the continuation and further progress of bilateral relations between the two countries.
Earlier on Sunday, Ambassador Syed held a separate meeting with the main opposition party, CPN-UML, Chairman K P Sharma Oli at the latter's residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur. Among other things, Ambassador Syed had thanked former Prime Minister Oli for his immense contribution to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries and his efforts toward revival of SAARC.
