BIDUR, March 7: One person was killed and five others were injured in a mini truck accident at Kulkule of Thaprek – 6 of Nuwakot district on Monday night.
The Nuwakot police have identified the deceased as 16 – year – old Ganesh Prasad Khatiwada. He was being rushed for treatment towards a medical facility when he succumbed to injuries on the way, Nuwakot's Superintendent of Police (SP) Dev Bahadur Bohara said.
Rupesh Nepali, Raj Kumar Tamang and Lathe Tamang, who were seriously injured in the accident, have been admitted at the Green City Hospital in Kathmandu.
Police have detained Umesh Rumba, the driver of the mini truck with registration number plate, Ba 4 Kha 995. Rumba along with Rabindra Tamang were also injured in the accident.
The ill-fated truck plunged some 200 meters downhill after losing control on a rough trail. The mini truck was returning from Arukharka area where it supplied building materials including sand. RSS
