KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Police have arrested an individual for assassinating the character of a girl by sharing intimate videos of her with her family and relatives.
According to the Cyber Bureau, Ravi Singh Rasaily, 21, of Lamahi Municipality in Dang was arrested from his home with the help of Area Police Office, Lamahi, on Wednesday on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim.

As per a statement released by the Cyber Bureau, the victim had reported that Rasaily sent obscene videos and pictures taken without the victim’s knowledge when they were in a relationship, to the victims’ relatives through social media.
The Bureau’s spokesperson Superintendent of Police Dipak Raj Awasthi informed Republica that after a technical analysis of the shared content, the bureau was able to determine that Rasaily was behind the online character assassination. He was presented to the Kathmandu District Court on Thursday. The court ordered to extend his judicial custody by four days.
