Nuwakot bus fall: Identification of Eleven deceased established (Update)

Identification of Six out of 11 people killed in the road accident has been established.

According to Arjun Neupane at District Traffic Police Office, the deceased are driver Damodar Kandel, NA personnel Yashoda Karki, Ishwor Karki, Padam Rai and Santoshi Bogati and Krishna Bahadur Tamang of Nuwakot.  

Some 12 others have been injured in the mishap.  

DSP Siddhi Bikram Shah said that a police team from District Police Office, Nuwakot has reached the incident site.

KATHMANDU, Feb 6: As many as six Nepal Army personnel and othrers seven have been killed in a bus accident at Madanpur VDC-8 Keureni in Nuwakot district on Saturday.


According to Umesh Dhakal, Chief District Officer of Nuwakot district, eight Nepal Army recruits were killed, when a microbus, Ba 1 Ja 7583, carrying them to Nuwakot for training from Kathmandu fell some 500 meters down the road today.

12 other recruits sustained injuries in the incident. They have been brought to Kathmandu for treatment. A police squad from District Police Office, Bidur has been deployed to the incident site, District Traffic Police Office, Nuwakot told Republica. 23 people were taveling by the ill-fated micro bus.
