Nine tankers enter China, to return by evening

RASUWAGADHI, Nov 1: Nine tankers have entered China through Kerung border point to collect petroleum products to be provided by the northern neighbor as grant assistance.

The tankers will return to Nepal after filling 80 metric ton of petrol some five kilometers north of Kerung.

Spokesperson of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) Deepak Baral said the tankers left for China at 8:30 am this morning.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Abadesh Bista informed the tankers will return by this evening.

Three tankers loaded with fuel products provided in grant assistance from Chinese government entered Nepal on Saturday night.

The fuel-filled tankers have been kept at Timure providing high security and will be sent to Kathmandu after completing process at Nepali customs office.
